Welcome to SpiritsCast!
It’s really good to have you here, poking around and checking on my progress.
Work on the brand new, inaugural edition of SpiritsCast is coming along nicely, with research being done and notes being taken. I’m planning an awesome first show, which will immediately follow the farewell show I’m planning for The Dark Side of Fey.
I have a list of things to do the length of my arm! I have to record an intro clip, bumpers, and segment clips, write to all my podkin and let them know about the change, get some social networking stuff done, and finish my research for the first four shows. I want to have segments in the can so that y’all never wait too long for a show. I want to be better organized this time, with a recording schedule I’ll stick to and segments that inform, educate and entertain!
(I made myself tired just writing all that! *lol*)
You might be asking yourself why I felt compelled to completely toss the whole shebang over at TDSOF, and I’m here to tell you – it was the ‘darkly’ thing. It just didn’t suit me anymore, and despite knowing that my personality shone through and despite realizing that the name of the show had little to do with the actual show, I couldn’t help but feel like I, and the listeners, would be better served by a lighter, brighter atmosphere.
Words, especially names, are powerful! The name “SpiritsCast” works so much better for me, since it creates an image in my mind of all of us kindred spirits out there casting about for connection with one another, fishing for knowledge, running through meadows with butterfly nets, casting for beautiful, iridescent butterflies and even the occasional faery. I’m still Fey, and the show is still a (mostly) pagan podcast, but I crave a space where the spiritual energy glows with kindness and inspiration. The Dark Side just wasn’t doing it for me anymore.
Kindred Spirits, I welcome you to SpiritsCast. I hope you keep checking in on me to see how things are progressing, and I welcome you to leave a message of support or encouragement right here in the comments!
